Inn the news

The moose are loose in the White Mountains. There have been sightings everyday.

They love the morning mist and the cool evening hay.

Don't be alarmed if you see one, they will soon be on their way.

Please don't give them wine cause they'll be drunk in no time!

Pawsitvely Cleo

For those of you that don't know me, my name is Cleopatra, Cleo for short. I am a 5 year old Black Lab. The snow is finally gone! I can run, frolic and play. My peoples even took me on one of my favorite hikes on Blackcap Mt.. It's really great and not too far from the Inn. I know this cause I only have time for a pup nap in the back of the car. The parking area is located on the very narrow winding Hurricane Mountain Road. The hike is one mile to the top of a rock knoll that over looks the Mt Washington Valley from the East. What a view!!!!

Looking into the garden

Spring time is one of our favorite seasons in the White Mountains. We patiently watch the gardens emerge from the earth and come back to life with a renwed presence. The tulips we planted last fall are just starting to open and the rhododendron bush is in bloom. We have been hard at work designing and preparing another garden this year. We will keep you posted on the progress.

Seedsn'weeds garden tip - this is a good time of year to divide and transplant perennilas such as hostas and day lilies.
